Debar Mountain Wild Forest. Frais d'accès : Gratuit. Ouvert annuellement. Chiens permis.

Altitude de 858 m.

Randonnée de 2,7 km. D+ 315 m. Niveau : intermédiaire.

Liste : none

Another hike away from the crowds !

The trailhead, on the other side of the road, isn’t easy to find. You’ll maybe need to rely on your GPS.

Just like finding the trailhead, you’ll need to pay close attention to stay on the trail all the way to the summit, especially in the fall when the leaves cover it. Otherwise, it’s well-marked. The climb is very steep, winding through rocks and roots, with a few gently sloping sections. A real workout for your calves!

A magnificent vertical cliff face covered in moss will signal that you’re one-third of the way up, and a birch tree with roots wrapping around a massive boulder will let you know you’re almost there. At the summit, explore the rocky ledge to take in views in every direction. You’ll be able to see Debar Pond and the surrounding mountains, including Debar. It’s magnificent!

Combine this hike with Debar and Owl’s Head for a full day out !
